Plateau P.D.P primaries vital to party’s survival

Sen. Victor Mainasara Lar

With the resumption of political activities towards the 2019 general elections , political juggernauts in Plateau state have woken up to commence political activities.
It is trite to know that Plateau has always been the hot bed of Politics in the middle belt as championed by the late Chief Solomon Lar , the first civilian governor of the state. Even after him the political spirit he ignited has not died down.
Today, those followers of his that he groomed in the art of political scheming and calculations are now surreptitiously gunning for various positions

Governor Simon Bako Lalong

Most importantly , the governorship stool will be keenly contested by the incumbent Governor Simon Bako Lalong under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (A.P.C) to complete his eight years as conditionally required, as it stands governor Simon Bako Lalong will run unopposed in the A.P.C.
Very interestingly the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau state are ready to cash in on the lapses of the APC government led by governor Simon Bako Lalong who have most times paid lip service to providing security and social amenities to Plateau people, infrastructural deficit, failure to provide jobs and rising unemployment etc
Apart from the governor, others showing interest in the to race to occupy the government house located at little rayfield includes, two term member of the house of representatives representing Langtang north/ Langtang south constituency, and a one time Senator who represented Southern Plateau senatorial district arguably the best senator to have represented Plateau state, Senator Victor Mainasara Lar , former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and one time member of the House of Representatives , George Daika , former Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) during the tenure of Jonah Jang, Professor Shedrack Best , Engineer Jimmy Cheto a technocrat and former Federal Capital Territory Minister and current Senator, General Jeremiah Useni, Engineer Ibrahim Ponyah.
As most candidates have acquired their forms to show interest of contesting we the people of Plateau state will therefore urge the chairman of P.D.P Plateau state chapter Damishi Sango, all its executives, PDP elders and stake holders to provide a leveled playing ground for all its candidates in all level, as any attempt to fundle with the fairness of the upcoming primary elections will plunge the ppart into chaos and Plateau people likewise into another futile and hopeless four years in the hands of the all progressive congress government led by the governor Simon Bako Lalong.

It is obvious that majority of Plateau citizens have lost faith in the governance of governor Simon Bako Lalong and it is very important to reclaim Plateau from this doldrum called governance and this unending orgy of killings, infrastructural deficit, unemployment, division amongst Plateau people.
